• Simple PDF for SharePoint On-Premise, is a SharePoint Solution Package (WSP).​
  
  
• Simple PDF consists of event receivers running on document libraries, when an input file is uploaded, Simple PDF triggers and adds the file to Word Automation Services (WAS) schedule.
  
  
• Once the WAS timer job processes the file, Simple PDF moves it to the destination folder, automating the whole conversion.
  
  
• We provide the package with an installer application for your convenience.
  
  
• Once installed the solution package into your SharePoint farm, activate the site features (at the web-level) to enable Simple PDF, and configure it.
  

• Simple PDF is built on top of Share​Point's Word Automation Services, so WAS must be enabled and configured on SharePoint's Central Administration before using Simple PDF.
  
  
• You need Farm Administrator permissions to be able to install this solution package and deploy it on all WFE servers.
  
  
• Please read following Microsoft's guideline to enable Word Automation Services in your farm. This procedure applies to versions from 2010 to 2019.

Quick steps to install Simple PDF​ ​

• Unzip provided SimplePDF2016.zip package to a temporary folder on one of the SharePoint servers in your farm.
  
  
• Execute SimplePDF2016.exe file, which is the installer package.
  
  
• On the installer application wizzard, click Next.
  
  
• Then comes a system check, if all items are OK, click Next.
  
  
• Accept the terms in licence agreement and click Next.
  
  
• Please wait while the installer is deploying Mega Menus solution package into your SharePoint farm.
  
  
• Once deployment is complete, click Next, then Close when installation is complete.

• Go to SharePoint Central Administration site >> System Settings >> Manage Farm Solutions.
  
  
• ​Please check that spp.simplepdf.2016.wsp farm solution status is Deployed.
  
  
• Now let's go to your site collection >> go to Site Settings >> Site Features.
  
  
• Find the following features: SimpleSharePoint: Simple PDF Event Receiver and SimpleSharePoint: Simple PDF Support Lists, and make sure both are Active.
  

You are now ready to go!

3. Now let's go to your site collection >> Site Settings >> Site Features.
